Educator

Skyler is an active and passionate teacher. He is the Assistant Musical Director of HONK! NYC, and has taught at The University of Pennsylvania (2021-2024) as the Director of Penn Jazz, and at The University of New Haven (2016-2018) as their adjunct professor of Woodwinds. His students have been accepted to WPU, The Hartt School, WesConn, as well as CMEA festivals. As a clinician with the Gerry Mulligan Foundation, he worked with students in underprivileged areas in Norwalk, Connecticut. Additional clinics have been taught through Marquette Park in Chicago, and the Screamin’ Eagles of Pratt and Whitney.

Skyler currently maintains an in-person and online private studio.
