[Invisible Cities]

Inspired by Italio Calvino’s book of the same name, the suite comments on the books reflection of human spirit, condition, and societal decay, as well as creating a sonic representation of various cities. The descriptions are vivid and breathtaking, creating cities of our imagination, fantasy and desire. The cities become a reflection of our own desires and fears, commenting on humanity and culture.

Invisible Cities was commissioned as part of the GPAF Artist Awards 2020 and received support from Pathways To Jazz and the Boulder County Arts Alliance.
